Hi I'm Niaomi, an aesthetic practitioner from Birmingham. I provide remedial skin treatments for a range of complaints from acne scarring to pigmentation, excessive hair conditions, ageing and removal of troublesome blemishes. My other passions include holistic therapies, aromatherapy, wellness and semi-permanent makeup.
Training
I'm a qualified beauty therapist having gained a level 2 and level 3 NVQ Diploma. Throughout my qualifications, I studied facial and body anatomy, manicures, pedicures, lash & brow, waxing, facials, massages, tanning and microdermabrasion.
I progressed to Level 4 VTCT Diploma in permanent hair removal and skin rejuvenation where I achieved – physiology of ageing, laser hair removal, IPL facials, advanced electrolysis for blemishes, electrolysis for hair removal.
In 2019 I completed an 18-month CIBTAC awarded course – Level 4 diploma in advanced skin studies and aesthetic practice. Units achieved – aesthetics core of knowledge, advanced skin science, investigative consultations, chemical peels, micro-needling and blemish removal with cryotherapy.
Following this, I registered on FdA aesthetic practitioner at University College Birmingham; one of the first dedicated aesthetic practice degree in the UK. At level 4 I improved my academic skills as required for higher education. I received a more rounded training in Laser systems and achieved facial/body electrotherapy.
Currently, at level 5, I will achieve science of skincare products, aesthetic business operations and clinical aesthetic procedures including fat freeze, laser skin resurfacing and specific dermal fillers.
I have previous experience as a beauty & aesthetic therapist with advanced skincare and cosmeceutical knowledge.
I love what I do. It is my long-term goal to operate an aesthetic business. To share all that I have learned and continued development. I speak most passionately about acne scarring, hair removal, hyperpigmentation and blemishes. I have keen interest in aesthetic technologies and their effectiveness and safety on black and ethnic minority skin.
